Cartriges

Cartridges are the parts inside of a faucet that turn the water on and off and adjusts the temperature of the water. They generally are brass constructed, or today are brass lead free (some manufactures have either chrome or polished brass plated their stems). There are cartridges for two handle faucets and single handle mixing faucets. Cartridge assemblies are made with the following components: a bonnet, a gland, a broached stem, “O” rings, two ceramic discs, a bonnet gasket, a bottom gasket.
